Today's View was a repeat, so I will not be updating sponsors today.
However, Rosie is making a powerful enemy and expediting the delivery of her pink slip from ABC if she thinks that she can take on O"Reilly and survive.
I encourage readers of this blog to write O'Reilly and inform him of our sponsor Boycott. He has implied on his radio show that someone should organize a boycott of some sort, so I'm sure he'd be happy to know that someone is doing it. Especially now.

Rosie O'Donnell spat back at conservative talk-show pugilist Bill O'Reilly after he called for her firing from ABC last week, comparing him to a character in George Orwell's "1984" who is "a fattish ... man of paralyzing stupidity, a mass of imbecile enthusiasms."
She didn't reserve her fire for O'Reilly, however. On her blog at Rosie.com, Ro accused O'Reilly of being a totalitarian puppet of News Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch, as she put it, in her lower-case verse, "like 1984/molding the facts/2 suit the needs/of big brother rupert." And Rosie also revealed that when she and co-host Joy Behar made reference on "The View" to a sex scandal involving O'Reilly, they were told they had to can it about O'Reilly or else "bill o would 'go after' all the hosts" of their show.
Well, Bill O. did go after Ro at least, as TMZ noted last week, calling Rosie "nutty" and "irresponsible" and suggesting that ABC should oust her from the show. Rosie went all literary-nasty on O'Reilly, comparing him to Parsons, a fellow employee of protagonist Winston Smith, whom Orwell says is "one of those completely unquestioning, devoted drudges on whom, more even than on the thought police, the stability of the Party depended."
Response from O'Reilly is awaited.

She certainly is unhinged and seems to believe she is some kind of intellectual heavyweight (not sure if pun was intended as I can't always trust what I tell myself).
boycott is the kicker and way to go. Remember laura schlesinger? They were able to keep her from some show she was going to do. Is turnabout fairplay?
She has been given a soapbox to spew her extremem left-wing views and to mainstream her twisted ideology. That is very dangerous and her voice has no place on daytime TV.
ABC should put a stop to this vile nonesense and do what is right.

O'Reilly will make minced meat out of Rosie. The only problem with Bill is that he is trying to be kind when he says that he can't understand where all of her venemous hate is coming from.
I believe she is having a spritiual crisis because of her disgusting and unnatural life style which she just doesn't want to let go of. She is seeking approval and acceptance of she knows deep down is wrong. That is why she has such a deep seated hatered of conservatives and Christians because they refuse to approve or accept her life-style.

Abouna, I'm going to be honest here and tell you that I don't agree with you in regards to Rosie's lifestyle.
But that's ok. I still like you and your blog and I know that while there are going to be a few areas where we disagree, there are far more things that we can agree upon, and that's why conservatives remain a force to be reckoned with. We remain united despite our differences, while those who oppose us are constantly fighting amongst themselves.
And that cuts to the heart of what we are up against when it comes to this Rosie ordeal.
Rosie is adamantly against administration/conservative policy in regards to Gay marraige and other gay related issues and because of that she dislikes the more traditional Americans who make up a large portion of the president's base, and who agree with him and the majority of Americans on those particular issues.
Becasue of this she has become blinded by the issues surounding her own lifestyle and has transformed her anger into an ideological crusade against Conservatives, Republicans and anyone else who even remotely aligns themselves with our nation or with those who harbor any kind of patriotic feelings whatsoever.
This has forced her to adopt a radical, anti-American ideology.
And yet she is only the most visible member of a group of Americans who have adopted this hurtful and misguided rhetoric.
We can not stop this type of thinking among those Americans, but we can do everything humanly possible from allowing it to be mainstreamed by a media which is often complicit in that crusade.
I believe that this boycott is a big battle in that fight.
As for the Berger petition, I will sign it and do so enthusiastically. Keep up the good work.

These are the kind of opinions which make the persecution of gays and lesbians acceptable and any sanctioning of physical violence or hatred of another group simply because of their innate characteristics is itself disgusting and perverted.
Like it or not, it is the Christian church (in this Country at least) which has become the focal point of this venomous hatred. Yet, they constantly whine and complain about being attacked. Maybe, if the church would be more forgiving and live up to their own teachings (remember "love thy neighbor"), they would be honored rather than reviled.
You'll get no sympathy from me as long as you continue to spew hatred yourself.

Hatred, adultery and robbery are all choices, homosexuality is not. It is no more a "choice" than being black, white, male or female.
Therefore by condemning the "behavior" you are condemning the person just for being themselves. It is an atmosphere that allows for violence and discrimination no different than Nazi Germany or the United States in the early part of this century.
Homosexuality may not be a choice but engaging in homosexual behavior is a choice. Denouncing the sin is not condoning hatred, nor violence and David cannot make it so no matter how many times he repeats it.
We all have our crosses to bear. How well we bear them denotes character.
Ahhh...so because, by an accident of birth, you are straight, you get to fuck but homosexuals can't. Cracker, please.
C'mon, wake the fuck up and stop covering up for your homophobic, misogynistic religion. What is a true human "sin" is hatred of an entire segment of the population, not because of their behavior, but because of their genetic makeup.

What would Jesus do? He would spend a lot more time in West Hollywood than you do, tell homosexuals that god loves them as much as he loves him and encourage them to seek the word of god to guide them in their lives.

Let's examine some of these statements, shall we:

Did we torture Khalid? If we did, then her accusation is correct. Now, you may agree with torturing Khalid b/c you now know he was involved in 9/11. But, the question you need to ask yourself is would you agree to allow your friendly Muslim neighbor to be tortured even though he is completely innocent. Or...better yet, would you agree to allow a family member to be tortured (say, after an OK bombing type incident where white people were suspected)? If that's ok with you, then you are firm believer in torture. But, Rosie is not and it's not an act of treason to disagree with torture.
Next statement:

It is now known that the British Soldiers were arrested as an act of retaliation after British Soldiers fired upon a vehicle near the Iranian Embassy. This much has been admitted by British officials:
"A vehicle approached the rear of one of our convoys. A number of rounds were fired. The vehicles returned fire. Nobody dismounted and the vehicle disappeared. There is absolutely no linkage with the location other than geographical coincidence. There was no encirclement and no rounds were fired in the air," said Major David Gell, a spokesman for the British forces in Basra.
Now, we all know Rosie is no newshound and probably not the sharpest tool in the shed, so my guess is all she heard was the "revised report" that the British Soldiers were in Iranian waters (and...if so, they would have every right to detain them). However, the fact that the first report had them in Int'l waters and operating in accordance with a UN directive makes this "revised" report suspicious.
And her opinion that the move was designed to start a war with Iran is just fucking stupid. Why would we need a reason anyway. All we need is for "the Decider" to consider them a threat and...IN WE GO!
The reason I bring all of this up is not to defend Rosie. It's to point out that throwing terms like "treason" around so loosely really waters down their meaning and makes real traitors look not so bad. I think it's dangerous and foolhardy. Save your rhetoric for truly horrible people who betray our country, not for ignorant left-wing blowhards.
Still waiting for abouna and jungle mom to answer my question... is it too much to hope that David and I shut them up/made them rethink things?
I find that conservatives rarely respond when you call them on stuff or ask them to step outside their "talking points" box. Hence why many of these blogs end with my comments.
