Hillary's Racist "Rocky" Analogy

Reeling from her Bosnia lie and with polls in the Keystone State trending in her opponent's direction, Hillary Clinton has begun subliminally using race in order to scare up votes in Pennsylvania.

Earlier today Clinton said that ending her presidential campaign now would be as if:

"Rocky Balboa had gotten halfway up those art museum steps and said, 'Well, I guess that's about far enough."

She continued with the Italian Stallion analogy:

"Let me tell you something, when it comes to finishing a fight, Rocky and I have a lot in common. I never quit. I never give up."

While on the surface the Rocky comparison may seem to be a harmless attempt at framing Clinton as an underdog who fights her way to the top, against all odds.
In reality, Clinton's words are a cleverly veiled attempt to scare white Americans into supporting the white contender against the violent, arrogant, seemingly unstoppable force of the black heavyweight, Barack Obama.

Repeatedly in the six Rocky films, we see the good-hearted, turtle-loving Balboa up against an angry African-American.

In the first film Rocky fights the cocky, African-American champion, Apollo Creed to a draw, only to watch as Super Delegates declare Creed the winner allowing him to keep his championship.

In Rocky II, Balboa finally wrests the title from Creed , only to be confronted by a scarier, angrier, blackier, black man in Rocky III.

Within the course of an hour, Rocky watches as this new challenger threatens his well-being, takes his title, kills his manager and makes an unwarranted pass at his wife.

"Hey, Woman. Hey, Woman! Listen here. Since your old man ain't got no heart, maybe you like to see a real man. I bet you stay up late every night dreamin' you had a real man, don't ya? I'll tell you what. Bring your pretty little self over to my apartment tonight, and I'll show you a real man."

Rocky beats Clubber Lang easily at the end of the film saving us all from a long, Jeremiah Wright-like, "Mr. T" title reign.

By bringing up Rocky, Hillary is hoping that white folks remember Clubber Lang, who represents everything that scares typical white people about black folks, including the big shiny chains, which in 21st century America are referred to as "bling".

Hillary is also hoping that we remember Rocky IV, and subconsciously view it as an example of what an Obama presidency would bring us on the foreign policy front.

In that film, Apollo Creed (black guy) is literally destroyed by the representative of our greatest foreign enemy. He stands no chance against the evil Ivan Drago and is killed in the second round after a flashy entrance.

Once again it is up to Rocky to restore our nation's honor, defeat the steroid enhanced Drago and avert nuclear Armageddon, by way of good, old fashioned, juice-free pugilism.

Hillary probably doesn't want us to remember Rocky V, since it was mind-numbingly awful. We also find out early on in the film, that Rocky has brain damage and that his wacky brother-in-law, Paulie(who represents Bill Clinton is this comparison) bet Rocky's entire fortune on Drago in the last film.

While this film doesn't really fit into Hillary's master plan, it may be representative of what a Clinton White House would look like.

Finally in Rocky VI (a.k.a. Rocky Balboa) Rocky once again goes the distance, with a black man who is younger and speaks far more eloquently than Balboa does. Of course pretty much everyone speaks more eloquently than Rocky, but you see how the whole thing could apply to the current Democratic race.

Now is the time for Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and your college professors to take to the streets and demand that Mrs. Clinton apologize for this racially charged comparison to Philadelphia’s favorite, fictional son.

Rocky isn't just a story about a down and out fighter, with incredible courage and heart, who against all odds claws his way to the top of the boxing world.
It is also about a white guy, who beats up scary black guys. Hillary very much wants to be that white guy.

Next week we'll examine how the Short Circuit films promote violent Jihad against America.

The political silly season has begun. Happy April 1st!

This is one of the stupidest posts I have ever read. Its so dumb no wonder people think Obama supporters are face down in the Kool Aid. Clinton is going to win the popular vote so deal with it.And no amount of dinky mid west caucus victories is going to matter for obama. He was landslided in the biggest and most important states in the country and if it werent for a heavy african american turnout in states that havent gone Democratic in 40 years and a bunch of nothing caucuses he'd be nowhere and the super delegates know it.When you add Florida and Michigan she wins the popular vote and will win the delegate lead she is on track to landslide him in 7 of the 9 remaining primaries. Obamacans can try and put their hands over the mouths of 3 million americans to keep their votes from counting, but when you have a candidate with no principles like Obama who spent 20 years with a lying racist anti american preacher and didnt have the guts to either leave or confront him, you have no case, no cause and no candidate.

This is truly the most idiotic posting to date. Obama supporters will go to any length to smear Sen. Clinton. I am shocked to see the level of stupidity currently swirling in the Democratic Party. You people wouldn't know an issue important to the country at this time if it was waving in your face. This is a very good example of why Obama should NOT be President. He is DIVISIVE and his supporters reflect who he is. Nothing of import will get done because just like his supporters he is completeley off target on issues. He now introduces RACE into the mix as if we have not been working on it - simply because he is VAPID on any other issue. Pathetic. If Hillary isn't the nominee then not only go McCain - but go straight down the ticket Republican to block any chance that Obama will destroy our country.
Drink the Koolaid Obama Folk.

You people need to chill out. I believe this post mentions that it is April 1st, a clear indicator that it should be taken lightly. The fact that you believe that a candidate's supporters REFLECT the candidate is also absurd. There are die hard crazy people out there for Obama as there are for Clinton and McCain, and you think that those people who continue to bring up the fact that Barack has a black father or that he is Muslim REALLY reflect Hillary or McCain? I hope not. And finally I'd like to point out that WITH the Florida votes, Obama still has the lead in popular votes, albeit a smaller lead. With Michigan, it would be unfair to even add the votes in one way or another without a revote because Obama's name is not even on the ticket. I believe this because of people like me, I would vote for Hillary Clinton if Barack Obama does not get the nomination. Also, it seems kind of shady to give Obama all the uncommitted votes anyway, like you propose, because who is saying that ALL of those uncommitted votes were even for Obama anyway? I believe that Florida and Michigan need to be heard, but you've got to remember that it was their own fault to begin with for breaking the DNC rules, that said "Do not hold a primary before this date, or your votes will not be counted". You can't blame the DNC or Obama for respecting the rules that were laid out BEFORE the primary even took place. I also believe that Obama said the other day he doesn't think Hillary should leave the race, and should continue on, therefore NOT ENDING THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE REST OF PRIMARIES.

Sorry for the rant, but I see people getting irrational and making assumptions all the time that are completely unfounded, and it kind of ticks me off.

Another Obamabot what a surprise. On and on and on and in the meantime there are so many families struggling to keep from homelessness - to feed themselves. What a disgrace. Obama and his supporters have completely derailed the conversation in this country to a pitiful place. But then he's vapid on the issues and you have no other argument to make.
Rant all you like. You are wasting this country's time.
SHAME on all of you.

anonymous@5:21 is astroturf. The same comment is posted on another blog here.

Obama isn't going to win and neither is H.R. Clinton. There are serious defects in both of the them.....
Obama is a racist and HR is a liar.

Here's the problem. If it is an April Fool's joke, it's an inappropriate one at this time. To call Hillary a racist, after all this race crap in the news is just outrageous. I can't believe this website would even post such crap.

(chuckling) - I find it absolutely appropriate that the Clinto-nites would respond in such a manner as to MISS THE POINT OF THIS BLOG ENTIRELY - EVEN as it is spelled out for you at the end! As an Obama supporter myself, I laughed (chuckled actually) all the way through the article. It was not until I read the comments that I even considered this to be a "real" article. Clinton should take a lesson from Rocky and fight with dignity and respect for her opponent - this is how the fictional character won - Rocky did not hit below the belt.
EXCELLENT article, but my favorite parts were the comments of Clinto-nites...so typical.

MORE ANONYMOUS IDIOTS!!! It never ceases to amaze me how many people visit your blog and say RIDICULOUS things under the cover of anonymity, D! First of all, to not get that this is a HUMOR piece is inexcusable, but then to call you an Obama supporter!?!?!? LOL! I guess if they are stupid enough to not get the joke, they’re also stupid enough to not see the sign on the right side of your blog that say “Blogs for McCain” or the other indications that you are a REPUBLICAN!!! * sigh *

Seriously though, thanks for the laughs—I LOVED THIS POST!!! ;)

After reading this post, I had to share this link to a new Clinton-Obama parody video. You'll love it!
